Kate Young
Senior Associate General Manager
Kate joined Playful in February 2015 and currently looks after Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She previously led on productions including Come From Away (West End), Kinky Boots (West End and UK & Ireland Tour) and Wicked (West End). Prior to joining Playful, Kate worked as Production Co-ordinator for Old Vic Productions (now Greene Light Stage) on West End shows including Private Lives and The Pajama Game, and as Assistant General Manager at The Old Vic Theatre Company on shows including Noises Off, Kiss Me, Kate and Hedda Gabler. Before this, Kate spent seven years as Associate Producer at Opera Holland Park, where she worked on over 40 full-scale opera productions. Kate has a Masters in Musicology from King’s College, Cambridge. Kate is passionate about staff wellbeing, storytelling and animals (though she is yet to find a way of combining all three!).
